Sami has 25 years of experience in selling rugs. His is from Fes, Morocco, and developed an interest in rugs at an early age.

He is a native of the Old Town in Fes, and grew up surrounded by rugs. As a young man, he gained knowledge of all types of rugs and developed an expertise in recognizing quality as well as learning about the regional differences of the rugs. By the age of 18, he was selling rugs in Morocco.

Joanne is a native New Yorker and discovered the world of Moroccan rugs during her travels to Morocco. She learned about the history as well as the different styles of weaving and grew to love them.

She particularly likes the fact that each rug is a product of the weaver’s imagination and tells a personal story. She now shares the business with her husband.
