Weaving in the Berber villages of the Middle and High Atlas Mountains is a tradition. The techniques are passed down from generation to generation. The shapes and figures woven into the rug are often symbolic of day to day life in the village.
However, as there are no patterns, each rug is unique and is the product of the weaver’s imagination.
